Maxi-Bolt Application - Combined Cycle Plants
As the shortage of power has become more apparent over the last several years, many utilities and independent power producers are building power plants as quickly as possible. This compressed time frame usually requires construction to start even before the design is complete. Since the anchor bolt locations are not known at the time of the concrete pour, coupled with the fact that misplaced cast-in-place bolts can slow the contractor down and be very costly, it turns out to be a perfect use for a post-installed anchor. The only post-installed anchor that has a bearing type contact, similar to a cast-in-place anchor, is an undercut anchor. The Drillco Maxi-Bolt undercut anchor is a non-slip type anchor that, when installed deeply enough in concrete, will be ductile 100% of the time.
